Tuesday & Saturday 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM
Closed on New Years Day, Independence Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

What type of materials does the Polk County Recycling Center accept?
#1, #2 & #5 Plastics - clean, single-use bottles, jugs, jars and tubs (no caps, cups or clamshells)
Cardboard - clean, dry & flattened
Aluminum Cans - drained
Steel "Tin" Cans - rinsed

Presorting your materials makes a huge difference for our volunteers!
The Onalaska Loop Drop-Off Station,
open the first and third Fridays of October through May from 9 AM - 2 PM, is at the Polk County Citizen Collection Station on Onalaska Loop, 77360.

SUMMER HOURS - JUNE THROUGH SEPTEMBER: Fridays, June 14, July 12, August 9 and September 6 9AM - 1PM

Space at this location is limited. Only plastics and metal cans accepted.
We ask that all items be sorted in advance.
Are there other places we can drop off materials?
No, but, Lowe's, HEB, Brookshire Brothers, and Walmart, all have bins to recycle clean & dry grocery bags, shipping pillows, bubble wrap, and any other plastic film with the recycling triangle with a "2", "4" or "Store Drop Off" logo.

Meat & Cheese film packaging is not recyclable.
Are there volunteer opportunities?
Absolutely! We welcome volunteers to assist with collections, learning about our program and helping to spread the word throughout the community.
