Our mission is to benefit the community of Polk County, Texas, by providing recycling opportunities, promoting the benefits of sustainable living, and supporting beautification efforts throughout the county. We strive to sustain and expand our recycling services to help reduce the cost of waste disposal, reduce our landfill footprint, and improve the environment.

Only clean materials will be recycled.
Please rinse or wipe your plastic containers and steel cans.
Keep cardboard dry.
#1 Plastics - PET
Plastic bottles & jars such as​

Water bottles
-
Soda, Juice, Sports Drinks & Tea bottles
-
Pantry aisle plastic bottles & jars (spices, condiments, etc.)
-
Discard bottle caps
-
Remove all food & drink residue
-
Labels do not need to be removed
-
No cups or clamshells (hinged containers)
-
No Bakery, Deli or Produce containers
-
No microwave meal trays

#2 Plastics - HDPE
Colored or cloudy plastic bottles, jugs, jars, and tubs, such as
-
Milk / Water Jugs
-
Detergent Bottles
-
Shampoo / Conditioner Bottles
-
Coffee Containers
-
No caps - Lids off
-
Remove all food & drink residue (especially milk jugs & creamer bottles)

Labels do not need to be removed

Corrugated Cardboard Boxes
Please break down all boxes.
Waxy/Greasy boxes or boxes that have gotten wet or dirty are not recyclable
and should be thrown away.

Aluminum Cans
Cans only. Aluminum foil and other metals cannot be recycled at this facility.
Please drain cans completely.

Steel "Tin" Cans
Steel cans are used to package everything from pet food to fruits, vegetables, and soup. Please rinse well to remove food waste. Then put the lid in the can - that's recyclable, too!
